Fractional CO2 Laser Resurfacing
CO2 laser resurfacing is a treatment used to enhance the skin’s texture and tone, reduce wrinkles, resolve scars, sun damage and pigmentation, and tighten facial skin.
A non-invasive treatment it uses a special device to deliver a laser beam divided into thousands of microscopic treatment zones that target a fraction of the skin at a time. As the fractionated CO2 laser interacts with the layers of the skin, it corrects discolorations, fills in creases, and lightens or removes other cosmetic imperfections. The CO2 laser also stimulates the production of collagen over time, which causes the skin to tighten.
This is a 20 to 30 min procedure. Since it is a little more aggressive than other lasers, the results are seen much faster and fewer sessions are required.
PRECAUTIONS
Our dermatologist will give you appropriate post procedure instructions with a good sunscreen to apply often as strict sun protection is advised.
FREQUENCY
Even though the effects of the procedure are long lasting , maintenance sessions may be advised , depending on your skin type and texture.
RECOVERY
Most men and women take a week to be relieved from the redness, skin peeling and mild skin irritation which is expected.
