Wrinkles form when we use our facial muscles to make expressions. For example, when we smile our eye wrinkles become prominent and when we frown the vertical lines between our eyebrows become noticeable. These are called dynamic wrinkles.
When we are young, dynamic wrinkles are visible only during such facial expressions. Our skin springs back to its original state afterwards and the wrinkles disappear.
